Built for the organizer
Every group has one. The person who opens the chat on Monday, chases confirmations all week, calls the venue, and at six on Tuesday is still hunting for someone to replace the friend who dropped out. Nobody thanks them, and without them nobody plays. RETO is built for that person.
Why we started with the venues
Costa Rica's venues are scattered across WhatsApp groups, Facebook pages nobody has updated, and the number of someone who no longer answers. What actually decides where a match happens is never published: whether there are lights for an eight o'clock kickoff, whether it's covered for October, how many courts there are, what an hour costs. We're building that directory venue by venue, call by call. It's public, it's free, and you don't need an account to read it.
We're two halves of one business
On one side, the player community: the directory, the profiles, and the app for putting together the weekly match. On the other, tools for the venues: bookings, schedules, and the empty hours nobody fills today. The directory is free and will stay that way; the tools are what we charge for, and they earn their keep because the community brings a venue players. Neither half stands alone: the community makes the directory real, and the directory makes the community possible.
Costa Rica first
RETO was built here, for here. In Spanish, in colones, on Costa Rican time, using the words people actually use: mejenga, cancha, cachi. It isn't a foreign product in translation — it's the country we know, and it's the one we're covering first.
Who builds it
RETO is a product of Mintive Studio, a software studio that builds and runs its own products. We operate through two entities: Mintive Studio LLC, incorporated in Wyoming, United States, and Mintive Studio EIRL in Costa Rica.
