Terms and conditions

The rules for using RETO, taking part in the community, and interacting with players, organisers, and venues.

Effective: September 16, 2026

These Terms and conditions form an agreement between you and MINTIVE STUDIO LLC when you visit reto.lat, use the RETO application, or access any RETO service.

Read them together with the Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use private service features. You may browse the public directory without creating an account.

1. Who operates RETO

RETO is operated by MINTIVE STUDIO LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with entity ID 2026-001855750 and an address at 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.

MINTIVE STUDIO EIRL, Costa Rican corporate ID 3-105-943551, with an address in San José, Escazú, San Rafael, Trejos Montealegre, Costa Rica, acts as the local affiliate and operational support point in Costa Rica. In these terms, “RETO,” “we,” and “our” refer to MINTIVE STUDIO LLC and, where local operations are concerned, MINTIVE STUDIO EIRL.

2. Acceptance and minimum age

To create an account or participate in private features, you must be at least 18 and legally able to accept these terms. By marking your acceptance and continuing registration, you confirm that you meet these requirements and accept the current version of these terms.

If you use RETO for a venue, club, company, or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it in relation to actions you take on its behalf.

3. What RETO provides

RETO connects people who play sports, games that need players, and places to play. The service may include a public venue and event directory, profiles, groups, matches, invitations, attendance responses, waitlists, results, shared costs, and tools for venues.

RETO facilitates information and coordination. Unless a feature expressly says otherwise, we do not own or operate venues, make a reservation for you, organise a third-party event, or guarantee that a venue, match, price, schedule, or place remains available.

4. Your account and identity

You must provide accurate information, keep it current, and protect access to your email, phone, and devices. You are responsible for activity through your account unless you promptly tell us about unauthorised access.

A phone number may identify a person within RETO. You must never use another person's number to impersonate them, claim their profile, or access their history. If you receive an invitation created with the wrong number, contact us so it can be corrected.

5. Invited people without an account

An organiser may add a person to a group or match using their name and phone number. This creates an unclaimed record for invitation and attendance management; it does not create an account or authorise a public profile.

If you add another person, you confirm that you have a legitimate relationship with them, obtained the number lawfully, and are sending a relevant invitation. You may not use this feature for advertising, bulk messages, harassment, or contact-list building. The invited person may respond through a link and later claim their history by verifying the same number.

6. Groups, matches, and organiser responsibilities

Organisers manage their groups, invitations, capacity, teams, attendance, results, and costs. They must clearly communicate the time, place, format, price, and other relevant conditions, correct errors, and respect participants' choices.

Confirming attendance, joining a waitlist, or requesting a place does not replace a venue reservation or guarantee that the match will happen. Each participant must assess their health, fitness, equipment, and surroundings before playing.

7. Content and information you provide

You keep your rights in photos, text, and other content you provide. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence limited to hosting, reproducing, technically adapting, and displaying that content only to operate, protect, and promote the RETO feature in which you chose to publish it. The licence ends when you delete the content or account, except for temporary technical copies and records we must keep by law.

You may publish only content you have the right to use. Do not publish another person's personal data, image, or private information without permission. We may remove content that violates these terms, third-party rights, or the law.

8. Prohibited conduct

You may not use RETO to harm other people, the service, or third parties. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • harassing, threatening, discriminating, deceiving, impersonating, or publishing illegal or abusive content;
  • automatically extracting data, phone numbers, or profiles, selling them, or using them for unsolicited advertising;
  • bypassing access controls, testing vulnerabilities without permission, interfering with the service, or introducing malicious code;
  • manipulating attendance, results, costs, reviews, reports, or identities;
  • using RETO for unauthorised commercial activity or infringing intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

9. Venues and third-party services

Directory information comes from venues, users, public sources, and direct verification. We work to keep it current, but you must confirm prices, schedules, rules, availability, and conditions with the venue before travelling or paying.

External links, maps, calls, messages, event registrations, and reservations take you to third-party services with their own terms and policies. RETO does not control those transactions and is not responsible for those third parties' actions.

10. Prices, costs, and paid features

RETO may display prices reported by venues or let a group record and split a cost. Those figures are informational and do not show that RETO collected, held, or transferred money.

If we offer a paid feature, we will show the price, currency, applicable tax, any renewal, and cancellation or refund rules before purchase. These terms do not create a charge by themselves.

11. Privacy

The Privacy policy explains what data we process, why, who receives it, how long we keep it, and how to exercise your rights. Consent to process personal data is requested separately from acceptance of these terms where required.

12. Intellectual property

RETO's software, design, brand, logos, editorial text, databases, and other elements are owned by or licensed to MINTIVE STUDIO LLC. These terms give you only a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service as intended.

You may not copy, sell, sublicense, decompile, modify, or create derivative products from the service unless the law does not allow that restriction or you have written permission.

13. Suspension, closure, and account deletion

We may limit or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, security risks, violations, or legal requirements. We will aim to explain the reason and provide a review where doing so does not compromise another person, an investigation, or service security.

You may request deletion from the application. The account remains inactive for 30 days, during which you may restore it. Afterwards, we delete or anonymise data that identifies you; shared historical records, such as anonymous participation in a match or a settled cost split, may remain without your identity so other people's records are not altered.

14. Service availability and changes

We may correct, update, suspend, or remove features to maintain security, comply with law, or improve RETO. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, but we will use reasonable care and communicate changes that materially affect your rights where possible.

15. Sporting risks and liability

Sport involves risks of injury, damage, and loss. RETO does not supervise matches, facilities, or participants and does not replace medical assessment, insurance, or the safety measures of a venue or organiser.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RETO is responsible only for direct loss shown to result from a breach attributable to us. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits non-waivable consumer rights.

16. Governing law and complaints

These terms are interpreted under the applicable laws of Costa Rica for services offered to consumers in Costa Rica, without depriving you of mandatory protections available to you. Before starting a dispute, contact support@reto.lat so we can try to resolve it in good faith.

If we cannot resolve it, you may contact the competent administrative authorities or courts. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive claims or rights that the law does not allow you to waive.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will publish the new effective date and, for material changes, provide notice within the service or through an available contact channel. Where the law or the nature of a change requires it, we will ask you to accept again before using affected features.

18. Contact
